NOTICE OF JOB OPENING
CHURCH ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (FRONT OFFICE)
STATUS: Part Time (32 hours per week)
SHIFT: Days
SALARY RANGE: $10.00 - $15.00 Per Hour

Summary of Responsibilities:
Responsible for church correspondence, completion of reports, maintaining church office. Maintains church office files, supplies and equipment. Receives and screens incoming telephone calls and visitors.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs secretarial duties exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality in handling church and personal matters for members.
- Responsible for typing, filing internal and external correspondence, including letters and reports for the church.
- Schedules appointments, meeting rooms and other activities and events for the church. Coordinate room setup and changes with maintenance staff.
- Post all church business meetings and prepares materials for church meetings.
- Responsible for oversight and maintenance of accident/incident reports, event rental contracts and outside contractors.
- Assist with membership database coordination. Generate monthly membership reports, if needed.
- Maintains weekly summary of work activity, and maintains front office files and equipment.
- Responsible for ordering supplies (for church only) and flowers.
- Works and maintains partnership for oversight of Administrative Volunteer Staff.
- Responsible for mail pickup and distribution.
- Other duties as assigned by Chairman of Trustee Board. Maybe asked to assist with other projects.
Skills and experience required:
- Two (2) to four (4) years secretarial experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in spelling and use of English language.
- Knowledge of statistical typing for preparation of reports.
Qualifications:
- Excellent PC skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
- Above average editing and analytical skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent. One (1) or more years of college education is a plus.
PERSONAL QUALITIES OF PARTICULAR SIGNIFICANCE:
Must be an active member of the church. Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
