Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. Isaiah 43:1

As you celebrate the life of our beloved, take time to allow your New Hope family to be a part of your healing process. Take time to personally mourn, but also become involved in the necessary steps to bring closure to your loss. I hope that the following information will relieve some of the pressure that you may be feeling. No one is truly prepared to deal with these types of situations, but allow us to help.

Your church family would like to let you know that we share in your loss of your loved one. Know that your church family loves you, we bless you and we are here as support and comfort for you and your family.

God knows that we grieve, understands our sorrow, and comforts us. He does not promise to preserve us from grief, but to help us through it. Take the time to read through the information and do not hesitate to call if there are any questions or anything that we can do.

In Loving Care,
Rev. David L. Roberson, D Min

During this time of bereavement, know that we share in your loss. It is our prayer that New Hope MBC will be a resource of love, to help ease your sorrow in making final arrangements.

All funerals at New Hope MBC will be done by the Pastor. If the family wishes someone other than the Pastor to do the eulogy, they must seek the Pastor’s approval. It is the Pastor’s decision as to who will bring the eulogy.

If the deceased family member was an active member of New Hope MBC in good standing the church will be responsible for the repast of no more than 75 individuals. If the family expects more than 75, the family will be charged $5.00 per plate exceeding 75, to be paid two days before the funeral.

A member is considered “Active” who maintains New Hope’s worship ordinances, discipline, doctrines and who has supported the expenses of the church within the last 6 months or who the Deacon Board has maintained as active.

Immediate family will be defined as the following: Father, stepfather, mother, stepmother, grandparent, step grandparent, sister, stepsister, brother, step brother, daughter, stepdaughter, son, and stepson

Members will be given a Church Resolution decreeing their membership standings within the church. If the deceased is not a member of New Hope MBC, New Hope will extend the sanctuary to the immediate family; however the family will be responsible for the repast.

If a family request to have a funeral at New Hope MBC, and the family or the deceased are not members of New Hope, they are required to pay all standard fees and repast cost as follow.

Non-Member fees must be paid in full.

  • Sanctuary donation: $550.00
  • Receiving of the Body: $50.00
  • Pastor: $100.00
  • Musicians: $75.00

Sound room technician and security is included in the sanctuary price. New Hope is not responsible for recording funerals or memorial services.
