MAKING FINAL ARRANGEMENTS
During this time of bereavement, know that we share in your loss. It is our prayer that New Hope MBC will be a resource of love, to help ease your sorrow in making final arrangements.
Reverend Vaughn will officiate all funerals at New Hope MBC, until a Pastor is appointed. If the family wishes someone else to bring the eulogy, they must obtain the Deacon Chairman’s approval.
If the deceased was an active member of New Hope MBC or an immediate family member, the church will provide ($400.00) for the repast. We are not holding repast at the church currently. The New Hope Banquet Center is available at a cost to the family. Please contact NHMBC for more information.
A member is considered “Active” who maintains New Hope’s worship ordinances, discipline, doctrines and who has supported the expenses of the church within the last 6 months or who the Deacon Board has maintained as active.
It is defined as the following: Spouse, Father, Mother, Stepparent, Grand Parent, Step Grand Parent, Sister, Stepsister, Brother, Stepbrother, Daughter, Son, Stepchild, Grand Child, and child with documented legal custody.
Members will be given a Church Resolution decreeing their membership standings within the church.
The member or immediate family member will be extended the sanctuary however Saturday funerals will be limited to active members when there is no conflict with the New Hope church calendar of events.
Although we are sympathetic to the families who have lost loved ones, we are not conducting funeral services for non-members at this time.
